Hawk's HPS 5.0 compound is intended for street performance/light track use -- it's a good pad with reasonable noise and dust and better performance than 'commodity' pads, with heat tolerance to 750 deg F or so. Excellent for spirited street driving or autocross use. The 5.0 pads feature more initial bite than the standard HPS compound.
